lyrics

The aces fell, and the aces fell, and the aces fell again, like debts paid by fate, only in kind.
As they dragged the take I knew was coming from another suited king, there was nothing but my sorrows left behind.
Then restless desperation began to pair with sweet relief and ease the tensive corners of my mind.
And despite all the winners and all that which they'd won, the world just fades away and I take what’s mine.

What do you do with the damage that you’ve done?
And the battles that you've won that’ll rise again?
What do you with the war that rages on?
Or the fights you fight, but you know you’ll never win?

The bottles fell, and the bottles fell, and the bottles fell again, emptied by the faults of every man.
Thoughts of grandeur, dreams of money, and ruling all the world with a simple, sly distraction for the price at hand.
Because when the weight meets the world, which the next sip takes away, you'll forget any reason you took a stand.
And the dawning of a new day it’ll seem just the same, just another fucking means to the same old end.

What do you do with the damage that you’ve done?
And the battles that you've won that’ll rise again?
What do you with the war that rages on?
Or the fights you fight, but you know you’ll never win?

The rains came down, and the rains came down, and the rains came down again, and I tried to recall how it felt to feel alive.
To be happy I suppose, at least in some little way, with that which I’ve come to know, but only could hide.
I guess that’s just the plight of every single man, to toil the fields of fulfillment in his mind.
It seems like only the idiot, who may be enlightened just the same, who thinks that he can ever be satisfied.

What do you do with the damage that you’ve done?
And the battles that you've won that’ll rise again?
What do you with the war that rages on?
Or the fights you fight, but you know you’ll never win?
